Region History

New South Wales Touch Association was constituted in 1972 and at that point there were six competitions and approximately 1500 players.

The NSW Northern Eagles Region was established and is responsible for all affiliates across the mid north coast, north coast, far north coast and north west of NSW. With 34 affiliates with in the region.

Over time the NSW Northern Eagles Region has been an important part of NSWTA and is responsible for touch football pathways for junior and senior players, technical development and engagement of affiliates. The region selects teams to participate in the National Touch League, NSW Junior Regional Championships and National Youth Championships. In addition the region runs the NSW Northern Eagles Junior Championships each year which is open to all junior representative teams from the affiliates within our region.

NSW Northern Eagles Region has been fortunate to produce some Region, State and National representative players,coaches, referees and selectors in its time.

The region will strive to grow, develop, and execute a great environment and culture for its members. Northern Eagles will support its members for the best interest of the sport and its members that support the great game we all love touch football.
